DIY New Circle Skirt App from By Hand London here. The actual app is here. What I really like about this app is after you plug all your data in the app tells you the fabric length required:

with a note to say whether it will fit on a standard 45″ / 115cm width fabric…App - stage 6cor whether you’d be better off using a 60″ / 150cm width fabric…App - stage 6dor perhaps even just going with a shorter skirt length.App - stage 7

So what does it say about the feminist movement when their biggest battle last year was over “Blurred Lines,” a pop song on the radio?

2013 Accomplishments in Feminism:

You were saying?

  • spanish and italian: So THESE words are feminine and THESE words are masculine, and you ALWAYS put an adjective AFTER the noun.
  • french: haha i dont fuckin know man just do whatever
  • german: LET'S ADD A NEUTRAL NOUN HAHA
  • english: *shooting up in the bathroom*
  • gaelic: the pronounciation changes depending on the gender and what letter the word starts and ends with and hahah i dont even know good fucking luck
  • polish: here have all of these consonants have fun
  • japanese: subject article noun article verb. too bad there's three fucking alphabets lmao hope your first language isn't western
  • welsh: sneeze, and chances are you've got it right. idfk
  • chinese: here's a picture. draw it. it means something. it can be pronounced three different ways. these twenty other pictures are pronounced the same but have very different meanings. godspeed.
  • Arabic: so here's this one word. it actually translates to three words. also pronouns don't really exist. the gender is all in the verb. have fun!
  • Latin: here memorize 500 charts and then you still dont know what the fuck is happening
  • Sign Language: If you move this sign by a tenth of an inch, you'll be signing "penis"
  • Ancient Greek: Hey, there's no word order and nouns are declined. Also memorize all these participles.
  • Hebrew: Everything is gendered and chances are you just used the wrong one.
  • Portuguese: Everything is gendered and we put the adjective after or before the noun, depending on the intensity of the adjectivation and whether the quality the adjective portraits are physical or moral. Also, we have around 27,238,126,432,084,912,746,865 verb declinations.

have you abandoned an uneasy truce?

Ehhh… Maybe? At least for the time being. But my pornier stories are also on hiatus. Unfortunately the fics with the sex in them turned out to be more fun to write which is why an Uneasy Truce sort of fell by the wayside when I started Enthralled. Plus I had trouble trying to make it not just another retelling of the main plot. I might get back to it some day, I just don’t have the time to write like I used to.

When I was very young my parents informed me that my uncle was gay and that’s why he lived with another man, but then they didn’t elaborate any further.

So for an embarrassingly long time I just thought that being gay meant that you got to live in a gorgeous old house out in the country that was full of beautiful art, antiques, cookies, and cats.

I wanted to be gay more than anything in the world.
